I am not sure about the rate, but I'm guessing in that ballpark. Although we were in a back in next to the beach, you could not see the ocean and beach because of a large sand dune. However, we were minutes from the gate to the beach which was very nice. Most of this campground is made up of park models, but the area next to the beach seems to be reserved for non-permanent visitors. Tight spaces, but park was clean and maintained. We stayed here to visit old St. Augustine, which was about 1/2 hour away.

This was a beautiful campground with old mossy oaks, and fun people. I would definitely come back here. Close to beach and the old town was fun. Lots of biking and walking trails. The office doesn't have long hours, but if you are scheduled to come in and are arriving after the check in time, there will be a camp host looking for you to direct you to your campsite.

Camp was full over weekend (leaf-peeping season). We liked our campsite, but we had some difficulty locating the site because the markers are so faded. We were also in a big rig and although we managed, it was a tight squeeze in and out of the site. Note: The hookups are at the opposite end of the motorhome hookups. Our site was A50. Once we were in & leveled (used boards under wheels), it was a nice large space. The view of the mountains was beautiful, and close to Boone, Grandfather Mtn. Park, and Blowing Rock. I would do it again, but would be very specific about my site. There are only a few level sites to accommodate larger RVs. Be careful departing your site if you are in a big rig because the back end of the RV could possibly catch the electric/water posts as you swing out.

The sites are pretty close together. The number 4 site is the "prime" site and is by the stream. The Crozet Music Festival was going on, and was fun because the music could be heard at your campsite. It was orderly and ended promptly at 10 pm. Location is good to Charlottesville, and wineries. We come because we visit our family. The upper level is nice and wooded but not accessible by big motorhomes. They have a nice office/store and a little deli called Greenwood is just down the road & has some wonderful items. I can't locate my receipt so I might be wrong about the rate.

It was clean and well maintained. All types of camping from tenting and yurts to Class A motorhomes. Make reservations ahead of time and ask for one of the sites with a pad and view of the river. Really beautiful. Asheville not far away, but we were there for the foliage and hiking. OBEY THE CHECK IN TIME. Once you leave the highway you will be going up a one lane mountain road. Owners fun and polite.
